Customer Reviews
super comfortablenice lightweight shoe with a comfortable midsole. If you have a wide foot, size up half a size and utilize a runner's knot. outsole is the same as the ubersonic 4.1 which was my previous favorite shoe. really nice shoe and I would buy more in the future.
Disappointing Quality and DurabilityI’m a 10+ UTR player, so I’m on court a lot, and these shoes didn’t hold up at all. After one hard slide on a hard court, there was already a hole on the side. Even off the court, just casual wear caused them to start breaking down. Durability is honestly unacceptable for this level of play. Comfort-wise, I’ve had much better experiences with ASICS tennis shoes. I wouldn’t recommend buying these.
Great ShoeGreat shoe. I train 6 days a week with two ITF juniors who both play mens futures and we really go at it. These shoes hold up good on hard courts and do extremely well on the clay. Definitely recommended. Once you break these in, you’ll be glad you purchased them. They are snug on the feet so if you are looking for plush softness and lots of room, these may not be for you but if you are looking for a solid performance shoe, this one is excellent.
Super Comfortable shoesNo.2 shoes in my tennis history after adidas ubersonic 2
Comfortable shoesNice and comfortable shoes.
Good not GreatThese are GOOD for recreational play. If you play more that 3 times a week and are 4.5 or above , not so GREAT.
Step down from Ubersonic 4/4.1Although there are similarities between the Defiant Speed 2 and Ubersonic 4/4.1, the DS2 is not as nice. The tongue on the DS2 isn’t as supportive on the bootie on the US, and the cushioning is a little softer on the US.
BeautifulI loved them... true to yours and very comfortable
Not enough cushion for me.I play mostly on hard courts and I need a little more cushion than average. Otherwise this shoe seems fine.
Excellent speed shoeThis is an excellent speed shoe. A little bit snug in the toe box for me which is why I went 4 stars but this is a surprisingly comfortable and grippy speed shoe that has enough cushioning for this 220lb player. I swear the light strike foam works better for heavier people as I’ve heard bad things about it in running shoes in the past but always from lighter people that call it too firm. For me it compresses and gives me all the cushioning I could ask for from such a light shoe. I lace them up with a runners loop and they are locked in, zero heel slip. I would love to see this shoe with light strike under the heel and a higher end PEBA foam under the ball of the foot for a more explosive ride but I’m sure that would move the price point. To me these feel like a more durable OG Tinker Hatfield Nike Vapors
