Supplants the 2019The Tour 100 310 from 2019 is one of my favorite frames I've ever played with. The 2022 was unfortunately a step back. It increased comfort, but felt sluggish and less powerful. The 2026 has gone back to the 2019 level of playability with great serves, good spin, good control, good power, and great feel, but with better comfort and stability. Don't know how Prince did it, but they did it. One of the absolute best player frames on market.
Perfect Balance Between 2022 and 2019 ToursAs a 4.0 all-court player coming from a Yonex EZone 100 and previously, the 2019 Tour 100 310 for years, this update performed exceptionally well across the board for me. Groundstrokes felt very fast through the air, and the 16x18 string pattern makes it easy to generate both topspin and slice, particularly restoring some bite to my backhand slice. On serves, I noticed a slight drop in top-end pace compared to the EZone, but gained accuracy, slice, and kick. On returns, the frame offers strong torsional stability against fast serves without feeling sluggish. Volleys are quick in fast exchanges, though the sweet spot is slightly less forgiving on off-center hits than modern power racquets.
The standout improvements are in maneuverability, feel, and comfort. The racquet feels lighter through the air than the 2022 model and avoids the slightly harsh crispness of the 2019 version. The dampening strikes a good middle ground between the two, providing clean feedback without needing a dampener. Even with full poly at 48 lbs, it caused no arm discomfort. Overall, it is a stable, control-oriented racquet with sufficient power and excellent spin potential for 4.0+ players. Tested this racquet as part of a TW message board playtest.
Great Frame!In summary, this is a great frame that even advanced players can pick up and play with. The 100 square inch 16x18 string pattern is actually quite controllable and the racquet swings very fast through the air. I prefer it to the new pure aero 98 2026 and the vcore 98 2026!
Made a great racquet better!I’ve used the 2019 Tour 310 since it was released. As a decades long Prince user, I thought it couldn’t get any better so I stocked up. The 2022 update felt too soft and sluggish so I took a pass. This update is just as whippy with noticeably improved stability. It is kinder to my 66 year old joints but still firm enough for easy depth. The 2019 sound goes ping (I hate dampeners!) and this stick produces a delightful “whump”. The glossy black paint with metallic orange highlights sparkles in the Florida sun and all my buds grab it for a test run. Players who are struggling with control on serve (using stiff modern offerings) are blown away with easy targeting and still plenty of pop. The 2019 GOAT stick has been dethroned!
Best iteration yetI’ve long been a fan of the Tour line of racquets. The 2019 (black+hyper G green+gold foil) version has long been an all-time favorite racquet. It had great power+control and the response was very consistent across the middle of the stringed. Please note that the string pattern has more uniform spacing for the center 6-8 strings. In contrast, the Wilson 16x19 patterns are very tight at dead center and the spacing gradually opens a little with each string as one moves out from center. The Miami Vice-looking revision (2022/2023) was good, but they reduced the stiffness a little too much and it felt muted.
This version gets back to the 2019 power and feel, but it’s a tad more solid…less brittle on off-center shots than the 2019. It’s also absolutely gorgeous, by the way. The gloss black+orange foil+textures are great. It’s a Top 3 looker for this season. It’s a great frame.
For those who haven’t used the Tour 100 before, it does have a more pronounced launch angle than a Wilson or Head racquet. The closest feeling frame to this is the new VCore 95 (despite the difference in surface area). Once you adjust to the launch angle, it’s wonderful. Serves and groundstrokes shape beautifully. Ultra-flat hitters would probably prefer the Tour 98 or Tour 100P versions. The 98 is like a warmer-feeling Blade 98. The 100P is like a very good feeling Speed MP.
