Head adds a surgical and spin-friendly option for 2026.
With the 2026 introduction of the Speed Tour, Head introduces the most surgical head size in the history of the Speed family. The payoff is control, making it easier for aggressive players to target the lines or swing bigger when loading the ball with pace and spin. It also packs a 325 swingweight, giving it sufficient stability without feeling sluggish when the pressure is on. In keeping with the Speed DNA, it has great ball feedback thanks in part to the sub-64 RA stiffness. Technologies include Hy-Bor, which integrates compression-resistant boron fibers into the shaft for a more stable and connected feel through impact. Additional technologies include the return of Auxetic 2, positioned in the yoke and handle to further optimize feel and response. This model also gives you the benefit of Graphene Inside, reinforcing the frame in key areas for added power and stability. Ultimately, the Tour is a welcome addition to the Speed family. Players who like taking big cuts at the ball will appreciate the added control just as much as the finesse player looking to drop the ball on a dime.

King of the "Do It All" Players FramesI am updating my last review to give more feedback for those considering this frame:
I have demoed upwards of two dozen racquets from all of the brands (mostly spin and control racquets), and the Speed Tour continues to emerge as my favorite. It is an incredibly versatile racket with a fantastic blend of characteristics that few others have, in my opinion.
The HIGHS: speed, maneuverability, feel, control (It is not "Prestige good", but it is good), power when you go after it (more than a control racquet but less than a power racquet), spin when you try to generate it (more than a control racquet but less than a spin racquet), great on both flat and spin shots, pure feel and pop in the sweet spot, great slices, great power on serves, great with both two and one handed backhands, gives you good, honest feedback on where you strike it, the paint quality and smooth feel on the throat is great. This racquet can truly do it all, with the caveat that you are striking the ball well and committing to your shots.
The LOWS: rather unforgiving outside the sweet spot (but that also translates to the exceptional feel IN sweet spot and good feedback on the quality of your strike), stability is good enough, but not amazing (the racquet can twist on you if you swing harder and strike poorly, or try to re-direct a heavier ball without hitting near the middle), it feels a little hollow and jarring on bad strikes, the frame is a little string sensitive, not so much in terms of performance, but in sound and feel (stiff and metallic strings make the frame feel hollow and grating if you hit outside the sweet spot). It gets a bit anemic if you are not committing to your shots or start to decelerate your strokes.
The FEEL & SOUND: the feel is interesting. The RA is low. You really feel that flex in the throat, but less in the hoop. Flexy in the throat, slightly rigid in the hoop, in my opinion. The overall feel is stiffer than the RA would imply, but it is by no means stiff feeling like a 65+ RA racquet, or as harsh with shock. It is a strange blend of things. On one hand, it sounds and feels stiffer that it actually is, but it is still pretty easy on the arm. If you put a soft string in this frame, the softness really comes out. If you put a stiff string in, the firmness comes out (tensions aside). The sound is not good on off-center hits, and REALLY good with on center hits. That is part of the great feedback you get with this frame. You get good feedback on ALL levels with this frame.
STRINGS: This frame gets a bit harsh with firm strings at higher tension. It seems to balance out and shine more with lower tensions. I have tried several string setups, and I think this frame plays and feels best with firmer, shaped strings at lower tensions. I have tried Head Lynx Tour in all of its different colors and gauges, Head Hawk Tour, Head Hawk Touch, Head Lynx Touch, Solinco Confidential, Restring Sync, Restring Slap, Luxilon 4g & 4g Soft, Grapplesnake Tour M8, and several hybrid setups. My favorites so far are Head Lynx Tour 17g champagne at 44lbs and Head Hawk Tour rPET at 44 lbs (the Hawk Tour rPET is a slept-on string BTW, it is really good; similar playability to Lynx Tour, but feels a little softer).
GRIPS & WEIGHTING: I have played with many different weights and grip setups, and while some recommend weight in the hoop to add stability, I personally like this frame mostly stock. The two setups I keep coming back to is stock weight in the handle or using a leather grip as the base + an overgrip. The leather adds a little bit of mass without slowing down the racquet and is a nice balance. I have found benefits adding weight in the hoop, but I find the speed, feel and overall playability are best with no added weight, and the benefits of the added weight are not worth it for me.
I am a mid-level rec player with good strength and athleticism, but have been really working on improving my game, and I find this frame to be awesome in helping me refine all types of shots. It is punishing when you get it wrong but amazing when you get it right. I personally like that, because it pushes me to be better, instead of letting me get away with bad or lazy swings. The instant and clear feedback you get is a valuable training tool, and it rewards you greatly when you hit clean shots. This frame is just fun to use, bottom line. I value speed, maneuverability, and how a racquet feels while being manipulated and moved through the air. Because of this I gravitate towards 95-98 sq in frames. This is at the top of the heap for me right now. It is the closest thing I have used that feels like an extension of my arm. Other frames I have really liked, but would still choose the Speed Tour over, have been: Head Prestige Tour (2023), Head Extreme Pro (2026), Head Gravity Tour (2024), Yonex Vcore 95 (2023), Yonex Percept 97, and Mizuno Acrostrike 305.
If you like fast frames, versatile weapons, or jack of all trades do it all frames, this is a MUST try. It a great blend of traditional and modern characteristics. It is fantastic in stock form, but also light enough to customize to your liking if need be. I hope they also release the Tour in the Legend paint job as another option. Well done, Head!
Good best 97 HEAD racquetThis racquet is pretty good. I bought 3 of them, 2 from tennis-warehouse and 1 from HEAD.com
This racquet provides good power with a connected and "web" feeling instead of a crisp and poppy feel. The level of power is good but not over the top. However if it was a little heavier at by the throat area imo it would make. Volleys more stable as it is packing in that department. Serves I am able to hit flat serves with confidence
I recommend this racquet for adv intermediate players.

This frame gets pretty harsh with firm strings at higher tension. It seems to balance out and shine more with lower tensions. My latest setup is Head Lynx Tour 17g grey at 48lbs. The feel and performance has gotten better as tension has reduced through playing. I am guessing current tension is sitting at the mid to low 40's and it is feeling better as tension gets lower. I am going to try the same strings starting at 44lbs next time.
I have played with different weights and setups, and while some recommend weight in the hoop to add stability, I personally like this frame stock in the hoop. Adding some weight in throat yielded good results, but I am mostly playing with with somewhere between 5g and 15g of tungsten putty in the buttcap to make things feel a little more solid, and to dampen some of the harsh harmonics than can come through the handle on bad strikes.
If you like smaller heads, fast racquets, a versatile weapon, etc, this is a MUST demo. Tons of potential and room to customize.
Awesome frame, but stay on the gas!Similar to the Gravity Tour 98 in regards to the subject title, this frame is awesome as long as you stay on the gas! Keep the legs moving, hit with intention, and there's plenty here to reward you.

-Stability not the greatest, although if you get a ST97 with low enough SW (325 or below) then there's room to customize a bit.

Great racquet, an upgrade from the Radical MP5.0 player (dubs specialist) I've tried everything under the sun and I can assure you that this is a great racquet. It plays almost identically to the Radical MP (unsurprising given the specs and company overlap) but has better feel and just a bit more pop and racquet head speed. Swings fast and easy. Only thing I haven't quite dialed in is serving but I can probably figure it out (it swings so fast that it's just a matter of getting my timing right, I think). Also, it's really comfortable. The Radical MP gave me just a bit of elbow tenderness but this racquet is very gentle on the arm.
Not a power racquet by any stretch but you can certainly generate a heavy ball if you bring your own pace. Would recommend to people who like the Radicals or classic control players/aggressive baseliners. Probably not the racquet for neutral/counter-punchers or lower-level players (not enough juice--you really do need to have full strokes).
Solid and comfyVery maneuverable and comfortable racquet. I would describe it like a cross between the pro staff and a percept with a little more top spin and power.
Calling it a jack of all trades would also be an accurate assessment from my perspective. For players who build their game around a handful of shots this might not be optimal but for those with a lot of variety this is worth serious consideration.
Awesome Racquet from HEADThis Speed Tour feels like the Original Pro Staff from wilson but overall the best racquet from Head
Speed Tour is FUN!From the first hit this racquet felt like home. It is definitely more of a control frame with exceptional maneuverability. It has plenty of access to spin & power but leaves it up to the player & stroke to tap into that.
It gives me the confidence to swing out knowing the ball will do what I tell it to. I have past experience with Radical MP from years ago and this plays very similarly... a little more maneuverability but power can be more/less than Radical depending on where you hit the ball on the stringbed.
I have recently played with Percept 97 and this racquet plays similar, but with easier depth and defense due to a little more pop/maneuverability. I also had an extended Gravity Tour demo and this racquet is not as plush, nor has the same high end power... but the predictability of the Speed Tour gives me the confidence to swing and hit my spots, which I value more.
I have a OHBH and play mostly aggressive 4.0 doubles and this stick is awesome!
Pure blissAwesome stick. It’s oddly kind of like a beefed up prostaff/ blade/ percept . Frame is soft but crisp and stable. Very solid from the baseline and net. The sweet spot is much bigger than expected for a 97. Though most reviews online say it’s not as spin friendly but I find this has ample amount that’s accessible.
Off Spec and UnderwhelmingAs the title says, my racket was 5 grams under spec, that’s about .2oz. Even with the weight added, it felt like I was swinging a 300sw prestige, except without the plow. Flimsy, unstable, no depth. Maybe weight in the throat will help? Sticking with my 2024 Speed MP.
