My favorite synthetic gutI'm a 4.5 who's played all the major synthetic guts and a few of the minor ones, and VCSG is my favorite. A 168 stiffness rating paired with only 15% tension loss. It's easy on the arm and yet remarkably responsive, delivering a nice balance of 'pop' and directional predictability. Synthetic guts typically need a couple hours to break-in before they "soften up." VCSG plays as if broken-in right off the stringer, and it's a elasticity that remains constant, probably due to its low tension loss. Sure it notches, it travels too (albeit later than others) and it's not exactly a spin monster. But VCSG does what synthetic guts do best and performs like the second best in everything you need, becoming the best across the board of all that you need.

Comments: Great string, great power and awesome spin (for a synthetic gut). Durability is so-so though, they'll probably break after 150 hours of play minimum. I use it in a 95 square inch frame with a 18x20 string pattern, so it's pretty durable for me.
