Six Zero releases another premium paddle! The Double Black Diamond leans toward precision and control, with a measured amount of realistic power, Much of the Double Black Diamond s power is derived from its 8.1 oz. average weight and 16.3 in. overall length, which provides the extra reach needed to effectively deal with an opponent s pesky shot placement. The paddle comes with either a 14mm or 16mm polypropylene honeycomb core. The thinner core supplies additional power, whereas the 16mm. core harnesses that power with longer ball dwell time for ultimate shot predictability and obedience. Another standout trait is the multi-stage cold and hot molding process, which both strengthens the Double Black Diamond and refines the return of energy to the ball. Incredible and permanent spin potential is the result of using of a proprietary Japanese Toray 700 Raw Carbon surface. The combined effect of the high quality core and surface materials delivers comfort and a lower decibel footprint at impact of the ball. The 3D Carbon forged handle is 5.5 inches long and is available a 4 1/8 or 4 1/4 grip size. If you prefer easier back court power with plenty of NVZ precision, the 14mm model is the easy choice. Six zero double black diamondReally nice paddle right from the start. Nice control and like how it feels hitting the ball. Has a great sweet spot and able to hit a good finish shot.
Great paddle for controlAs my game got better I knew I needed a different paddle and I decided on this paddle after some research. It is light weight and has good control. Great intermediate player option.
Amazing paddleJust used the paddle for the first time this evening, so only time will tell concerning durability and playability.
That being said, my first impressions are outstanding. The control and spin abilities this paddle has are incredible. The amount of top spin you can put on the ball with this thing allows me to drop power shots in much harder-to-reach spots than I was able to previously. I always knew paddle choice made a difference, but not to this extent…it’s a night and day difference from my previous fiberglass paddle.
Also, Pickleball Warehouse shipped it on time and for free with a nice return policy (worth mentioning even though I don’t plan to use it). Zero complaints.
6.0, the standard all should followOrdered the Double Black Diamond, grip overwrap and a carbon fiber eraser. The quality of the paddle is evident in the detailed craftmanship and execution on the court. Very impressed with the paddle responsiveness, spin response and dwell time. The ordering process was seamless, while the order status updates and communication regarding my order were immediate and timely. The order was delivered in under 60 hours, well packaged with return directions, pre-printed return label and return packaging, none of which were necessary for my order.
Love itI live in Southern California, am a former tennis player, am 60, have been playing pickleball for about 18 months, and play in 3.2-3.5 leagues and at the local rec. AI recommended this paddle after I gave it (her?) information about me as a player, including that I wanted more power. It HAS given me more power on my serve, which is awesome, though at first I was hitting a lot more serves out than usual. I wish it gave me consistently more power on speed ups and overheads, but I have to face the fact that it can’t help me with technique! The paddle feels comfortable and balanced and I do think there is a mental boost to getting a nice new paddle - I want to live up to it and I feel like I have played better with it. I really think it is helping me in my hope/quest to be a solid 3.5-3.75, someday 4.0 player.
Control and powerThe racquet has a large sweet spot and provides power and control. After much research I'm glad I landed on this racquet.
Great Power PaddleLove this paddle. As an intermediate beginner playing less than 2 years, I wanted to move from a control paddle to a power paddle. I am not disappointed, making shots now that my old paddle couldn't. And price is right. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing... at first.I purchased this paddle 2 months ago and it was an absolute cannon, at first. Incredible power AND control. Definitely boosted my game for about 6 weeks, but the last week or two I've noticed the pop beginning to fade and the face has lost all its grip. For context I play 1-2 nights a week, roughly 4.0 rec play. Disappointing longevity for sure but considering it's 2/3 the price of competitors, I may purchase again.
UnderwhelmingThis paddle might have been a dud, but I was disappointed by its performance and actually felt that a $30 paddle from Amazon had better performance.
Six Zero Double Black Diamond Control PaddleI'm a intermediate player (3.5) and I love this paddle. It allows me to work on my topspin with more RPM's. It also gives me a great touch at the kitchen but without losing power like other control paddles. The wear of the Toray carbon fiber is slow and maintains high RPM's (around 2000) even after months of play. My other paddles had a big drop off by 6 month mark. Bought a second paddle because my wife started borrowing mine and has improved her net play and speed, so I lost use of it, and bought the second one. WARNING; you will need to buy some erasers to clean the face of this paddle after just, a couple of games. It loves to scuff up the surface of the balls, and leaves a yellowish powder on the face. Cleans up nicely however.

Bull rider with a new gloveLike with a bull rider’s new glove, the results with this Double Black Diamond paddle may be a bit hard to quantify. I formerly had a 7 year old generation one paddle, and I play at the 3.75 level. There is no question that this paddle is superior to what I was using. It is lighter, and I feel quicker with it. I also believe that I have more control and power. So I am probably riding the bull .035 seconds longer, so to speak. I’m happy, and gave my old paddle to the rodeo clown.

Excellent SpinThis paddle has so much spin it is lethal. I would rate myself 3.0 - 3.5 so I use a lot of spin on my serves - especially when playing against a higher level player. I was using a Pickleball Apes Pro Line Energy S prior to this purchase and was impressed with the spin I got from it, but this Double Black Diamond far exceeds it. I've only used it three times and find it to be maybe a little heavier than the Pro Line - might just be that I haven't gotten used it enough to be sure. But that hasn't negatively affected my game. And I find I tend to hit the sweet spot more consistently.

Diamond flush!Solid feel, perfect balance of power and control. Love the shape. Tried adding weights to the sides but ended up taking them off after one session. DBD is perfect as-is. Having confidence in your paddle is a strong mental advantage. Very happy with my investment. Shipping was mega-quick, nicely packaged, certainly a winner.

6.0 double black diamondI recently purchased a 6.0 DBD paddle to replace my recently purchased Selkirk Luxx, paddle. The DBD has a much bigger sweet spot than the Luxx, even after I taped up the Luxx to increase the sweet spot. Don’t get me wrong the Luxx is an excellent paddle, but I get much more consistent hits with the DBD. If you are a player that almost always hits the sweet spot, the Luxx may be for you, but there isn’t a lot of difference in performance when hitting the sweet spot. The DBD is a great control paddle, but I certainly can dial up some power when I need it. I highly recommend the DBD, especially for intermediate to advanced players whose main game is control, if you are a power player, you may want to play with it first.

Best paddle I've ever had!I read a ton of reviews on this paddle before buying. I knew I wanted a paddle that could add to my power and spin. This paddle does that in spades. I have no complaints whatsoever. Buying the paddle through Total Pickleball was a no-brainer. Their return policy is second to none. They also shipped super fast! Better cheaper alternativeI played with both DBD 16 and Hurache Kevlar 16, about three months each. DBD took much longer time to dial in and I still having trouble with resetting my shots. While both paddles are excellent choices for intermediate to advanced players, the Hurache Kevlar 16mm stands out for its superior durability and power. The paddle's solid feel and power, despite being control-oriented, make it a versatile option for various playing styles. If you prioritize durability, control, and power in your game, the Hurache Kevlar 16mm is the better choice. After discount WELCOME bring the price down to $140 still cheaper than the DBD.

Love this paddle and Total PickleballI bought this paddle 3 weeks ago and the more I play with it the more I love it. It took me a couple of weeks to start to dial it in because it generates so much more spin compared to my Wave Pro paddle. It also has great feel for drops and resets. I’m so much more confident with my drops and dinks and it has enough power for put aways. The DBD is just a great all around paddle and suits my game well. I would recommend it to anyone that has a solid all around game.
I’d also like to mention Total Pickleball. This is the second paddle that I have purchased from them and the experience has been pleasant each time. Their exclusive return policy is ground breaking. Many other sites offer free shipping and a thirty day return policy but when you read the fine print the return has to be unopened or gently used and you have to pay return shipping.
